David Leitner, Co-Director of Photography David Leitner is a cinematographer, producer and digital photographer for television and feature-length documentaries and films. A former I.A.T.S.E. 644 Director of Photography, Leitner won the 1989 and 1990 Sundance Jury Award, and was nominated for a 1999 Emmy in cinematography. Co-founder of the New York-based production company Archipelago Films he has directed, produced and digitally photographed over 16 award winning documentary films. [Read Andrew Young's Filmography] Richard Breyer, Associate Producer Richard Breyer is a member of the faculty of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Professor Breyer began his career in Bogota, Colombia where he helped launch a national educational television system. He has been a consultant to Sony Picture/Colombia Tristar International, The Asia Society, The Ithaca Ballet Company, the Government of India, The Smithsonian Institute and the New York State Office of Education. Breyer has authored a text Book on television production and articles for NPR, Hemisphere, Marsala, Global Studies and The World and I. The daughter of German-Jewish refugees from Austria, she lived in Kew Gardens from the age of six. She has explored that heritage as a gallery director, senior editor of the German-Jewish newspaper Aufbau, and in organizing events such as poetry readings and cabarets. She is the author of Cruel Banquet, the highly acclaimed biography of August Strindberg’s second wife. Bill Gottdenker, Executive Producer Bill Gottdenker graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and spent 26 years in the municipal bond department of Smith Barney. He advised many states and major cities on the timing, pricing, and marketing of multibillion dollar bond offerings. He worked closely with the largest institutional investors in the nation during the placement of these issues. |
